BRITTNEY
Position : Hair & Makeup Artist
Languages : English
Beauty Background : I have been lucky enough to be in and out of the beauty industry since the age of 14 years old, and what a beautiful ride it has been thus far. I attended a technical trade high school in Delaware where in addition to traditional education I was also able to work toward a cosmetology license. From there I was always “the hair and makeup friend”.
After high school and my early young adult years, I spent some time working in some of the Eastern Shore’s most prestigious salon and spas until 2016 when I put everything on the line to pursue a full time bridal hair and makeup artist career. Best decision I have ever made!
By 2018 I had accrued so much business that I could no longer continue as a one-woman-act and from there my company was born. 7 years later, I am proud to say I now lead a solid team of 16 award winning and published bridal artists and stylists serving over 100 brides a year.
While I am fully committed and married to the bridal industry these days, over the years I have had the pleasure of working on dozens of high fashion editorials with international photographers, magazine publications, and runway shows. I have been published on Style Me Pretty, Martha Stewart Weddings, Wedding Sparrow, Anthropologie, and more.
Highlight of my career : Honestly, it’s being right here where I’m at this time in my career and home life. I worked extremely hard and faced my fair share of challenges to get to a place where I can devote more time to my family, but still provide an enriching life for them by doing something I’m extremely passionate about. The bridal industry isn’t just a career to me, it’s part of who I am and where I’m at is exactly where I am meant to be!
Current favorite bridal beauty trends : In 2023 I am over the moon for timeless waves, polished updos and sultry tousled looks. And when it comes to makeup, you can not go wrong with blushing, radiant and healthy skin, romantic soft lashes and a natural-to-you lip!
Top three products/tools I can’t live without : When it comes to Hair, I can’t live without my volumizing texture iron, dry way spray, and fork comb. As far as Makeup Products/Tools go - You will not catch me without all the entire Tatcha skincare line, Rare Beauty blushes and my MyKitCo. Lash groomer can brush (aka my secret weapon to a finished and popping eye!)
Guilty pleasures : Buying a new outfit for basically everything. Oh and of course, binge watching Love is Blind and every 90 Day Fiancé show ever made when my kids go to sleep.
