Beauty Background : I began my career at the Paul Mitchell School 19 years ago. I have extensive freelance experience including commercial, weddings, TV and film, editorial, and occasional boudoir shoots. Additionally, I have 14 years experience with MAC Cosmetics.
Career highlight : I was featured in the Spring 2012 edition of ELLE Magazine as Washington D.C.’s most recommended makeup artist and was named “Mr. Makeover”. Also, my editorial and commercial work has allowed me to extend my reach and travel internationally.
Current favorite bridal trends : As a professional makeup artist, it’s my job to be aware of all the current fashion and color trends and to also see beyond them to what is coming next. I balance that knowledge with a timeless classical approach so you won’t ever dated. Currently, I really love a soft blended velvety eye look soft around the edges and nice and smoky near the lashes. I see a lot of beautiful warm peachy browns that look great on practically everyone. Pair that with a glowing blush and bronzed skin, anyone can look like Jennifer Lopez!
Top three products/tools I can’t live without : My lash curler! I always say the straightest part about me is my lashes. I also can’t live without a blush bronzer combo, and if this is a desert island situation and I have to choose something I can’t live without, I would cheat a little and say my whole multi-step skin care routine. I don’t feel myself without a proper skincare routine from start to finish.
Guilty pleasures : Guilty pleasure for makeup is blue eyeshadow. It got a bad rap from the 80’s and I hope it makes a comeback. And guilty pleasure in general is getting lost in the rabbit hole of Pinterest.
