Position : Hair & Makeup Artist

Languages : English, Lao, Thai

Beauty Background : I have been a licensed cosmetologist in the industry for 8 years, and working in bridal for 6. I started my career in Portland as a stylist and Esthetician, and found my passion for bridal hair & makeup when I moved to Seattle, advancing my technique working both with teams and independently. I continued my education working on advance cutting and color techniques in an apprenticeship at a salon for 2 years, and I now focus on color, cuts and bridal beauty.

Career highlight : My proudest moment in my career is both personal and professional. I was asked to officiate for my closest friends elopement in Washington Pass. I did her hair and make-up and officiated their love. My work and their love story was later published on Osprey backpacks website stories named, "Love and Backpacking: The McKissack wedding".

Current favorite bridal beauty trends : My favorite beauty trend is floating pearls in a boho up-do or really any floating pearls in the hair.

Top three products/tools I can’t live without : I cannot live without my 1 1/2 inch hot tools marcel curling iron, Bumble & Bumble invisible oil deep conditioner & Olaplex no. 6 leave in treatment.

Guilty pleasures : My guilty pleasures are cooking as if I were Ina Garten or Martha Stewart, listening to Country music, and watching videos of fat cats.

I believe that beauty is love.

XOXO nono

When you have love, it radiates a contagious energy, which is a big part of why I love working in the wedding industry.

Not only is she extremely talented at what she does, but she made the entire process completely seamless. She took the time to ask all the right questions to make sure I was getting exactly what I wanted, but also was so intuitive in knowing the exact look I was going for for my wedding day. You can tell in the way she works that she genuinely loves what she does. It made the entire experience fun, laidback, and so exciting. She exceeded all my expectations and I cannot recommend her enough. I just wish I could relive my wedding day so she could work her magic on me again!

“Working with Nono was an extraordinary, one in a million sort of experience.”

Looks, how I wanted my photos to turn out, trials, you name it. And on my wedding day, she was there every minute till I said “I do” to make sure my hair and make up looked impeccable for every photo that was taken and memory that was made. It was a magical day, made so much easier and more beautiful thanks to her. Nono has a heart of gold, and there’s nothing she won’t do to make you feel beautiful.

“From the day I met her, to my actual wedding day, Nono held my hand and supported me with so many decisions...”

When thinking about makeup I initially was nervous because I don’t tend to wear makeup a lot in my job working at the hospital and I knew I wanted it to look very natural, but also the extra glam we all look for on our big day! Nono was incredible from the very first hello. I have a semi uncommon allergy that is in makeup products and she was so accommodating and helpful in making sure everything was safe for me to use. She walked on water for me to make sure I not only looked incredible but that all my concerns and questions were answered. She gave me the most natural elegant bridal look of my dreams!

Words cannot express how thankful I am to have Nono as my makeup artist for my wedding day. I absolutely loved my makeup and it lasted for 14+ hours of photos and celebrating. If you are looking for someone to totally blow your expectations out of water and make you feel like your most beautiful self, do not hesitate to book Nono, you will not be disappointed! She is not only an amazingly talented hair and makeup artist but also becomes an instant friend. I cannot thank her enough for all she did for me and continues to do for me!

“Nono is hands down one of the best decisions I made for my wedding day!”
